Hey Buffalo Friends...
Be on the lookout for this cute girl. Gary's cousin, Sister Haylie Jensen, is serving a mission for our church for the next 18 months in the Rochester/Buffalo area. So if you ever see two LDS sister missionaries, check to see if one is Sister Jensen.

Happy Birthday to Gary
It was Gary's birthday on Friday. Only one more year until the big 3-0. I figured now is a good time for a little bit of reminiscing! Let's step back in time to Gary's 18th birthday. I blindfolded him and told him I was taking him to a fancy restaurant. I drove all over the place so he was really confused. Then I walked him into our house through the cement basement steps so he had no clue where we were. Once he was seated at my mom's dining table, I took off the blindfold and boy was he surprised! What could be more fun than my best friends serving us apple juice and playing romantic music in the background? The best part of the night was when Lauren squeaked out the "Happy Birthday" song on that violin!! Needless to say, it probably wasn't the most romantic dinner. But hey, we were 18! (Actually I was technically only 16 on his birthday since mine is later in August!)
(Sorry for the quality of the pictures. We don't have a scanner so I had to take digital pictures of my hard copies!)

Instead of a nice, romantic dinner this year, we opted for Rainforest Cafe. (Can you tell our lives have changed a little bit?) It was totally worth having Bryker entertained the whole time, even though the food wasn't so great. He loved every minute of it.

Of course I had to make Gary a super-special cake. It was supposed to be a golf ball, but Gary just thought it looked "diseased." Hey, it's not that easy to make a golf ball texture with whip cream frosting! (And yes, that's supposed to be grass around the bottom.)
