Bryker turns TWO

Our little boy is all grown up! Although I guess he was never technically "little." He started out at 9 pounds, 11 ounces and hasn't stopped growing since! He is definitely in the attitude phase, but in the midst of the tantrums, he gives plenty of hugs and kisses to make up for it! We love our Bryker baby. Here are some of my favorite pictures...yeah, just a few! (Birthday pictures will be coming...)

Mmmmmmuahhhhhhh

(That's how you write a kiss, right? mmmmmuahhhh?) Bryker has been into giving kisses lately. He usually likes to go for our cheeks, but lately he's started doing the "distant kiss." It looks something like this...

Every morning when Gary is getting ready to leave, Bryker says, "Bye Gar. See ya tonight. Mmmmmuahhh!" That's his "distant kiss," which is usually given from the couch! (By the way, he's totally been into calling Gary 'Gar' lately, instead of Dad!) So we thought it was really funny...until he decided to expand his circle of kissing friends. Today several people got "distant kisses" from Bryker. At the grocery store, after the lady checked us out, I said "thank you" and then Bryker said, "Thank you. Bye. Mmmmmmuahhh!" Then the bank teller, then the librarian, and finally the lady at the drive-thru of McDonald's. It is pretty funny...and kind of embarrassing!

(Don't mind Bryker's awful haircut right now. He totally freaked out the other day while we were trying to give him a little buzz. I had to pin him down while Gary shaved his hair and somehow the sides ended up long and the top is too short. It was supposed to be the other way around. Hopefully we'll get around to fixing it soon.)

Fun Weekend

We had quite the Labor Day weekend. First of all, our good friends had their baby. Luckily (and not so luckily!) it happened so fast. I barely made it to the hospital to pick up little Claire and Heidi was already ready to push! So Claire stayed overnight with us and Bryker couldn't have been happier (except when he slammed his finger in the laundry room door and ripped half the skin off - don't worry, no pictures of that one!). So we went to the park, had some dinner and then a bubble bath for the two little ones. Check out the cute pictures after the tub. Bryker and Claire were so funny - they kept giving hugs and kisses to each other all night!

Then on Labor Day, Gary and I took Bryker to a fun waterpark in a nearby suburb. He loved it!

About five minutes into the ride home, he was done!
