Happy Birthday to Grandma Hunt
You get a song, too. But it's kind of a non-traditional birthday one!

Although the last three days brought sunshine and happiness, the majority of October has been cold, cold, cold. Let the indoor activities begin...
First, some body art.

First, some body art.

Then, some bowling. I'm glad now that we have a toddler we have to request bumpers and I can pretend I don't need them. (By the way, I almost beat Gary. I only lost by three points. On my very last frame, I left ONE pin standing or I would have scored a spare and beat him. Those that know Gary and his bowling game, it wouldn't have been pretty. And yes, I used the bumpers. Our toddler needs them.)

Happy Birthday to Grandma Couser!
We tried emailing this twice, but it was too big. Here is a birthday song for you.

Three years old!
Somehow this little guy....
Turned into this...
in just three years. Where has the time gone? (Thanks to Gary for showing him how to conveniently store his sword.)
Then we had a superheros and "sheros" party. It didn't exactly go as planned. We had to switch locations at the last minute and then a nice, sunny day turned FREEZING cold the second the sun went down. (Last Halloween, we didn't even wear jackets. Who would have thought that Sept. 30 would feel like a typical November night?) Oh well, the kids had fun.
(Yes, I made the cake. I was a Baskin Robbins cake decorator in high school and during my college summers so what do you expect?!!)
I made these little capes that some of the kids wore. I had a great idea to hang all of the capes on a clothesline across the soccer goal posts so the kids could see them when they arrived. That was at the original park though. No goal posts at the new location so instead I just threw them on a blanket and never even got a good picture of them!!
We had a pinata. Bryker saw one on Dora a few weeks ago and asked what it was. We told him he could have one at his birthday party so he kept asking about it. The best part though is that he kept getting it confused with another word. A few days ago, he said to me, "I'm going to go BAM and whack that pina colada." (Maybe because that's my favorite flavor of Italian Ice at Annette's?)
Getting the loot.
Blowing out the candles. I think he was thinking they are going to get him!
It doesn't get better than this!
Or this!
The funniest part...one gift had a Spongebob balloon tied to it. When the kids gave it to Bryker, it started flying away. Our friend Clark, who has quick reflexes (and happens to be pretty tall) grabbed it at the last second. Such a close call! Then later on, Bryker wanted it tied to his arm. So I tied it on TIGHT. The next thing I knew, he was bawling and all his friends were waving to the sky saying, "Goodbye Spongebob. Goodbye." He seriously sobbed for 10 minutes! Oh to be a three-year-old again.

To start the celebration, Gary took Bryker to a Medieval dinner in a nearby suburb. (This was Saturday night while Makenna and I went to the Relief Society broadcast.) They had a great time and Bryker loved the knights and the fighting. And they got to eat their entire dinner with their hands so he fit in perfect.

We love our Brykerman and are so happy he is ours. If only there was a guarantee that the "terrible two" tantrums immediately ended the day they turn three. Nope, they don't. I can vouch for that!
