Sunday's are crazy for all of us with afternoon church, but they are especially hard for Makenna since she never gets any naps in! Here she is...a little delirious!

Never leave him alone in the kitchen
Gary, that is.
Many of you have heard the rice story. If you have, skip ahead. When we lived in Buffalo, I had put a dinner in the crock pot one day. I was running late getting home from work so I called Gary and asked him to turn it off and make some rice. That's it folks, just some rice. As I walked in the door, the last drop of water was evaporating and the rice was beginning to burn. I asked him how much rice he put in and he said, "the whole box." This was Uncle Ben's rice, NOT rice-a-roni. We ended up with three pots of rice that lasted us about two weeks.
Last night, I was taking dinner to a family in our church. I had just put the last tray of cookies in the oven and asked Gary to take them out when the timer rang. When I got home FORTY-FIVE minutes later, the cookies were still baking in the oven. I should have taken a picture of the tray of blackness, but I was too annoyed.
So if any of you are looking for kitchen tips, you probably don't want to ask Gary!

And we're done!
Is it just me or did Halloween seem like it lasted two weeks this year instead of one day?
Gary's school does a little trick-or-treat party.

So I made Bryker some "spidey eyes" since he wasn't keeping his mask on. The eyes lasted about two minutes longer than the mask. Oh well. I love this picture of him with Claire. So classic! This is their third Halloween together! (And kudos to Heidi for making that awesome princess costume. Isn't it amazing?)

The only pictures of our little spider. (Way too much work to hold her in that thing for very long!)

One of the doctor's came up with some "webbing" for Bryker. That's one good way to use floss.
