A surprise

Bryker told us he was going to his room to make us a surprise. After a few minutes of silence (never a good thing), I peeked in to find this:

I can think of about 100,000 better "surprises"...then again, I can also think of about 100,000 more disgusting things to clean up than a big pile of clothes!

Six Months Old!

Well, she's actually almost seven months now, but close enough! I can't believe how fast time is going by. Our Makenna-bo-benna is such a happy baby. I know you can't tell by those cheeks, but she HATES baby food! Rice cereal, oatmeal cereal, peaches, pears, squash...she hates it all! The only thing she has taken three bites of is sweet potatoes. Other than that, she keeps her lips tightly shut or spits at me (which, by the way, Bryker encourages daily..."spit, Makenna, spit!"). She loves to sit and play with toys and watch EVERYTHING that is going on around her. She does not care to roll and doesn't even like being on her back or tummy any more. Instead, if she wants something out of her reach, she just reaches and reaches and then face plants into the floor! She is a pretty good sleeper (when she's not teething) and usually just goes with the flow (except when Bryker is torturing her, which has been happening a lot lately...but is getting better now that we're back in Chicago).

We love our little lizard! (Such a classic Makenna look - with the tongue out!)

A little photoshoot on Christmas Eve!
All seven of the grandkids on my side of the family (below).

My sister let us borrow her jumparoo in Utah. Now whenever we put Makenna in her exersaucer here, she starts jumping like crazy and then can't figure out why it's not very fun!

These are a few of my favorite things

I'm not sure what happened to December...but I have about a million pictures to prove it really did happen!

The first Santa sighting (first of FOUR, I should say!)

Poor Makenna spent a lot of the month like this!

Makenna was more interested in eating Santa. Her two bottom teeth have surfaced!

Kangaroo Zoo. No way will they be still for a picture.

Making candy with the cousins at a lady's house in my parent's neighborhood.

Bryker and Jack getting ready to play in the snow. Check out their faces in the picture below.
They're ready to hit my brother with snowballs!

Love, love, love this girl!

Chillin' while Grandma talks on the phone.

Makenna and baby Beckam. (I'm not sure why she doesn't look very happy!)

Baby Beckam - 4 weeks old!

Another Santa encounter.

Christmas morning...she is well-fed.

Bryker sporting his new slippers.

Jack's birthday - pirate party.

Here's the birthday boy with his cool new cape!
