The things they do and say

The only reason I'm able to post this right now is because Bryker is napping. My two-year-old has taken over the laptop!! Every time I open it up lately he suddenly has to play Sesame online. Now he's such a pro that he can even do the mouse and eat a popsicle at the same time.

He has been quite the little chatterbox lately. (Actually, he's been that way since birth!) But he's now in the phase of asking every question possible about everything. I had to go to the doctor a couple days ago just for a consult about removing a mole. Since it was only a quick consult, I decided to take him with me. It went something like this:

"Mommy, who is that?" That's the nurse. "Oh."
"Mommy, what is she doing?" She's taking my blood pressure. "Oh."
"Mommy, what are you doing now?" I'm standing on the scale so they can get my weight. "Oh."
The nurse then asked him if he wanted to stand on the scale. He quickly said, "No."
"Mommy, is the nurse going to use that little thing you put in your ear?" No, not today. "Oh."

Then she left and the doctor came in to take a look at the mole. After about 50 more questions for the doctor, he said, "That's it? You're all better?" Yep, it's that easy!

The weather here has been awesome lately. We took a trip to the Brookfield Zoo and they have a new dinosaur exhibit. It was really cool but Bryker was a little hesitant at first. I asked him to stand by one of the dinosaurs so I could take his picture. He thought for a minute and then said, "How about I stand by this garbage can and you can take my picture?" Good idea!

He was brave as long as I was holding him!

Isn't this polar bear so cute? We waited and waited but he never jumped in!
