To Utah and back

We had so much fun in Utah. Bryker was spoiled by his grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles. I'm not sure why I only took like five pictures while we were there! I guess we were just too busy having fun. There were a couple of days that reached 90 degrees so we took advantage of the sun.

Other highlights:

  • Meeting our new nephew Brigham. He is so tiny. I think he was smaller at six weeks then Bryker was when he was born!
  • Watching Kenli pay softball and Braxton play soccer (Gary's niece and nephew).
  • Bryker and Jack chasing each other everywhere.
  • Playing with MY friends!!
  • Bryker took his first pony ride at Grandpa and Grandma Jensen's. (Hopefully we can get the pictures from Tiff!)
  • Hearing the big news: My brother and his wife (Casey and Summer) are having twins! They already have two adorable girls and now two more little ones (don't know the gender yet) on the way. We are so excited for them.

We miss everyone already! Gary only stayed a few days and then headed to Denver for a conference. So I was on my own with Bryker for the flight home. Luckily he slept for more than half of it. While we were in the airport waiting for our flight, a couple with a one-year-old boy came and sat next to us so the kids could entertain each other. The little boy was babbling and making sounds like, "wah, wah, wah" so the dad turned to Bryker and said, "What is he saying? Can you interpret that for me?" Bryker looked at the dad and said, "wah, wah, wah." He totally copied what the baby was saying! It was so funny.

Okay, this is getting long, but here is the best part of all. Most of you know we are renting our house. Last summer, our landlord hired someone to mow the lawn since obviously most renters don't own a lawn mower. Well, nobody has been coming this year, so we've been calling our landlord forever. He is totally flaky and is by far the worst landlord we've had in seven years of renting! So anyway, we leave for 10 days and come home to this:

Not only is it totally embarrassing, but Bryker can't even walk through it without falling!! (Don't you think if you were that neighbor mowing your lawn and making that perfect line between the houses you would be a good Samaritan and just mow the whole thing? Well, not our neighbor! I think he thinks it's a joke by now.) Anyway, we received great news last night. Our landlord's cousin is taking over the house, so he's already been over and is having the lawn people come on Saturday. We told him, "Don't worry - no rush!"

Hi Missy! I was laughing so hard at that picture with the perfect line in the lawn...isn't that typical. I'm glad you had a good trip to Utah. Bryker is so cute!!

That is hillarious that your neighbor just stopped right at the property line. Whatever. I love that Bryker "translated" for that baby...too funny! Love that boy!

Also love that boy! I think that he could win most charming one year old ever. Also, that lawn picture is killing me, that and the fact that the wind blows all the street trash into your yard. Your neighbors are probably either getting a good laugh or wispering curses.
